Livingston
UMC has become a member of the ever growing
Phoenix Organ Family! After
a diligent search of several digital organ makers, and after living with some
loaned organs from other makers, the church ultimately chose Phoenix Organs and
D.L. Simmons & Company for there next organ.
This
will replace an aging and inadequate old Hammond that was not
appropriate for supporting the choir or congregation. With
the new
Phoenix Organ PT246, they will have more than ample resourses to draw
from for any musical demands which may arise. |
Also,
provided as part of this project is a new custom digital Carillon
system designed by Phoenix Organs. This will include a dedicated
amplifier and sound card within the organ console utilizing the quality
digital bell samples from Phoenix' sample library and keying from the
organ keyboard for 'real-time' playing. The Carillon will also be
able to be controlled with a dedicated laptop computer and software for
replay provided by D.L. Simmons & Company.
